Thoughts on a Year
My wife and I, pictured above outside of Cracker Barrel on my birthday, have had quite and interesting year. Looking back it all seemed like it went so fast. We started out the year in Las Vegas. We spent the first half enjoying life, working hard, visiting California, and missing our family. About half way through the year I began a two month process of discussions and interviews for a job closer to home. At the beginning of August we accepted the position and mid-September moved back to Illinois. The job has turned out far more than I ever dreamed. We're probably going to be here for a while. We spent a few months in the home of Jill's uncle and in mid-December bought a house. Sprinkled between those life changing events were thousands of memories that have made life worth it. This passed year of my life was the greatest so far. Through grace I've been successful in my career, marriage, and life. I can't wait to see what this year holds. Blessings to you all.

Yeah...well, we've all had quite an interesting year, huh? I just read my journal entry for Jan. 1, 2006. I had so many questions, so much despair over ever being able to do anything about my situation. But I've had seven months off, doing exactly what I wanted to do; spent six weeks 50 yards from the Mediterranean; and now, I get to move back to the city I love...and work in a church where they actually care about worship. What a concept!
BTW, you and Jill look great.
you're getting old...26?
Tell Jill I said hi!
