In another brilliant CCC video, Elic pitches us the new cure for the holiday's. Reconsilosec. Dig it.
I would consider myself a person of strong faith, but sometimes I watch the news and wonder where God is. Where is he on 9/11? Where is God in Rwanda and Darfur? Where is God in the slave trade of post-Russian Asia? Where is God in Iraq and Afgahnistan? Where is God in the children's cancer wing at St. Jude's? I need this song called "Our God Reigns" by Delirious to remind me where he is sometimes. Ultimately, though, I know right where he is. Check out the song sometime. It's moving.
It's been awhile since I've been able to blog due to a relaxing vacation to the warm and sunny Decatur, Illinois last week. Sense the slight sarcasm on the warm and sunny part. I do bring back some great news from Decatur though. My mom recently made the front page of the local paper for some work she's been doing there with a local women's shelter. She happens to be on the board for it seems like a thousand local aid organizations and this one got some press. I love the quotes in this article. She's so smart. I'm definitely biased because she's my mom, but she's one of the most self sacrificing individuals I've ever known. Hero to me and many others.
Check out the article here. Much props mom.
Friends,
I came across the music video by some old touring buddies of mine, Skillet. The song is called "Rebirthing," and I've really been amazed everywhere I'm hearing this song. I was at a Blackhawks vs. Redwings game a couple of weeks ago and the Hawks entered the ice at the beginning of the game to this song. Then the other day Jill and I are driving somewhere and Skillet's rockin' on some random radio station. This band definately deserves it. This video will rock your face off.
Amigos,
Ok, so I've finally had it with blogspot. I enjoy blogging, but I don't have enough readers to justify paying for a blog account. Because of this I'm intensly jealous of my fellow CCC bloggers. Then again most of them blog about important stuff excluding Eric who has ADD like me. So I'm looking for somewhere on this information highway that will allow me to blog at no cost. My former boss and fellow blogger Ron Gollner switched his blog over to Vox and got me interested. So I jumped and I'm now happy I did. This is just easier to blog on. I don't have hours to sit down and write HTML code to make my blog look cool. I don't really even know what HTML means. So this is a God send. Plus I got to put up a picture of my wife. Go Illini!
